Our first holiday of 2026 is now fully booked! Five days of walking centred around the compact city of Durham, the River Wear and the beautiful Durham Dales.

2025 Holidays

Kent: Sunday 28th September - Friday 3rd October 2025

Our 3rd holiday of the year will be based in Canterbury and led by Tony, Roger & one other tbc.

Please note that spaces are limited to 35 and priority will be given to IVW members.

2025 Events

Spring outing by train to Sevenoaks - Saturday 29 March

Starting our walk from the train station in the delightful town of Sevenoaks, this walk of approx 10 miles called briefly at two National Trust properties. Click HERE for full details.

Dawn Chorus Walk - Saturday 3 May @ 5am

Our expert bird watchers, John and Roy led a 4 - 5 mile walk around the Priory Lake area, followed by optional breakfast at the Beefeater. Click HERE for full details.

Climb the Millenium Dome - Saturday 21 June

An intrepid band of IVW members took part in the ascent and descent of the Millennium Dome in North Greenwich, followed by an optional 5 - 6 mile walk. It is claimed that on a clear day a view of 15 miles into the distance is possible!
