RIPPLE Programme 2020
RIPPLE....... Restoring & Improving Public Paths for Local Enjoyment
The work typically entails footpath clearance, waymark posts, and style and kissing gate repairs in conjunction with a Council organiser.
Sessions this year will be on alternate Tuesdays timed so that they do not clash with IVW's Tuesday walks, with sessions lasting from 10:00 to 13:00 Start Points and information about the work for each session are advertised on this page.
If you are interested in joining us please contact Barry on firstname.lastname@example.org.
RIPPLE dates for 2020
RIPPLE Events have been suspended until further notice - see below for a message from Barry:
Firstly: A big thank you for a good turnout on Tuesday 17th March enabling all the necessary work being done. Please click here for more information and pictures.
Secondly: In view of the information recently received from The Ramblers and the Government with regard to the virus pandemic and having had further discussions with both CBC and BBC it is with regret to inform you our RIPPLE activities will be suspended until further notice. However until such time as we are all stopped from going out it would be quite legitimate for anyone who finds an overgrown path to clear the obstruction themselves as an individual removing only as much as to access the legal line of the path.
As it would appear many operations to clear public paths will also be suspended when the restrictions are lifted there will be a tremendous amount of work to be done and therefore will keep you posted.
Lastly: Regarding the Power tools training course on Saturday 18th April. I haven't heard back from Rob the Trainer and will let the seven participants know whether it is cancelled or not as soon as I hear from him.
